Dahlia 'Cambridge' is a spectacular decorative type of Dahlia. It blooms in mid-summer and will continuously produce flowers right through until the first frosts. The flowers are a gorgeous, warm yellow and are flecked and streaked with a deep red. Looks equally good in a border or used as cut flowers where it will fill your vase with exotic flowers for many months. Will grow to a max height of around 70cms, making it ideal for pots and containers also. Superb, showy flowers that will add some excitement to the garden when it can look a little dull.
This plant is supplied as a single tuber. Best time to plant is in April. To plant them, dig a hole at least 20-30cm square and around 20-30cm deep for each one. Cover the base of the hole with 10cms of compost, or manure and give it a good dousing with a full watering can and then plant the dahlia at a depth of 15cms. Plant in a sunny spot and keep moist yet well-drained. It will need to be lifted in winter - once the foliage dies back simply dig it up and store in a cool, frost free location.
IF ORDERING EARLY, PLEASE NOTE THAT WE SHIP THIS ITEM BETWEEN MARCH & THE END OF APRIL TO ENSURE IT ARRIVES IN PRISTINE CONDITION, AT THE IDEAL PLANTING TIME.
