Berberis thunbergii atropurpurea 'Bagatelle' - Barberry

Berberis thunbergii atropurpurea 'Bagatelle' is a very compact ground covering variety that reaches just 30cms (1ft) tall. It has a neat, rounded habit with colourful purple-red foliage so it is perfect for brightening up areas near the front of garden borders or used for landscaping en-masse.

In spring, pale lemon yellow flowers will appear that contrast perfectly with the bronze-purple leaves. Bright red berries will follow later in the year after the flowers to provide additional interest in the Autumn when the foliage with deepen to rich plum purple shades.

A very easy to grow and undemanding Berberis shrub. Supplied in approx 1.5 litre containers.
