Springtime is the perfect stage for the regal, beautiful small trees and if you want a real centrepiece for your outdoor space then this Magnolia is the perfect candidate.

A smallish tree with an upright columnar habit that produces a cover of stunning cup shaped flowers in spring. These flowers are striking red-purple in colour.

The tree keeps its regal appearance long after the flowers have gone over, maintained by its fresh green large ovate leaves that cover the crown, this magnolia is deciduous and will also give a flush of autumn colour.

One big bonus with ‘Cleopatra’ is it begins its flowering at an early age. Plant away from cold winds and exposed sites as late frosts may damage blooms, Magnolias also prefer a slightly acidic soil.
