Pieris Valley Valentine - Lily of the Valley Shrub

This is a plant with a potentially very apt name, that would make an unusual, and special gift at that magical time of year. . . they superb at this particular season as they are covered in buds when we deliver them. The plant itself carries beautiful, deep red buds and pendant flowers - a real highlight in often the worst weather months of the year. The foliage has an attractive, bronzy tint to new growth, and forms a compact mounding habit. Pieris such as this can be considered as an excellent foundation planting in a new scheme or simply just in groups around the garden. It can even be grown in patio planters, and does best in partial shade.
