Escallonia Golden Carpet

Escallonia 'Golden Carpet' is a bright golden yellow groundcover shrub that turn darker lime green in autumn. In late summer an abundance of small red scented flowers contrast beautifully above the golden foliage. Prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade. This evergreen shrub is ideal to provide year round interest either in a border or container on a patio or deck.

It's versatile, vibrant and as it's evergreen, it will provide year round interest. The acrid, arid-yellow, evergreen foliage contrasts beautifully against red blooms which appear in July and continue for three months. Its ideal for a pot as a spreading, unfussy and easy to grow garden shrub for front of border in sun or semi shade. Supplied in approx 2-3 lite containers.
