Lavatera Burgundy Wine

This is a fantastically floriforous shrub for the garden, and a deserved winner of the Royal Horticultural Societies Award of Garden Merit.

'Burgundy Wine' will make a wonderful specimen to use towards the back of sunny well drained borders. The upright branches are covered in soft grey-green leaves that remain semi-evergreen, then in early summer masses of deep pink flowers are produced on upright stems, reminiscent of that cottage garden favourite, the Hollyhocks. Blooming throughout summer and in to Autumn, this will reach around 6ft tall if left unpruned.
