Yamina is a new Hamamelis like no other. As with many varieties it will carrying clusters of large, sweetly scented, sulphur-yellow flowers from December to late February but unlike other varieties Yamina has a unqiue leaf colour. Where most other Witch Hazel varieties have a plain green leaf, Yamina has a bronze-purple-red colour to it's leaves, this is more intense in a brighter position in full sun, so Yamina makes an excellent shrub for the back of the border providing a backdrop to lighter colour summer flowers, then in the winter months illumating its position with the curious, spidery flowers, and providing an amazing fragrance warmed by the winter sun. It will make an ideal specimen plant for a shrub border or woodland edge. In the Autumn the purple leaves shade butter yellow and blood red before they fall, creating a stunning seasonal effect - a living bonfire. Supplied as nicely branched plants at around 60-80cms tall in approx 3 Litre containers, in winter these will be covered in buds and flowers.
