Magic Fire Witch Hazel is a beautiful vase shaped spreading shrub that is slightly more upright in shape than some of the other Hamamelis varieties available. The highly attractive and ornamental Witch Hazel flowers unfurl in the winter months and begin rich red before a transition to burnt orange. The fiery display of flowers really is impressive, making this a real beacon in the garden in the duller months of the year, therefore it is hardly surprising how the plant got its name. Green foliage will add extra seasonal interest in the Autumn months when it turns stunning shades of orange and red - a feature it is worth growing for alone - prior to falling and revealing the architectural branch formations of this marvellous winter blooming shrub.
