Acer palmatum dissectum Garnet
Availability: In stock
Acer palmatum dissectum 'Garnet' is a stunning, slow-growing Japanese maple renowned for its finely dissected, lace-like foliage in a rich garnet red. Emerging deep red in spring, the delicate, cascading leaves maintain their colour throughout summer before turning brilliant shades of crimson in autumn. Its elegant, weeping habit forms a domed, mushroom-like shape, adding architectural interest and softness to any garden setting.
Perfect as a specimen tree in small gardens, rockeries, or containers, 'Garnet' thrives in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and prefers a sheltered spot in partial shade. It’s ideal for Japanese-style planting schemes or for bringing contrast and texture to mixed borders.
This low-maintenance tree requires minimal pruning, just remove any dead or crossing branches in late winter or early spring.
Supplied in approx 2-3 litre containers.
