Allium Stipitatum - 1 Giant Bulb
Availability: Out of stock
Alliums, appearing in early summer, are the beloved darlings of every Chelsea Flower Show in recent memory, and with good reason! They are elegant in form and provide a wonderful contrast in mixed herbaceous borders.
Allium stipitatum is a stunning variety of allium, showcasing dense clusters of pink-purple blossoms on delicate stems during early summer. The elongated, strap-like leaves of Allium stipitatum wither away before the flowers bloom. It is ideal for inclusion in a diverse herbaceous border and serves as a fantastic cut flower.
Allium stipitatum is an excellent choice for introducing diverse shapes to borders and mixed garden beds, boasting star-shaped flowers that cluster into large pom-poms starting in May. These impressive globes of blooms rise on metre-high stems that arch above a foundation of wide, leafy foliage.
The flowers of this Allium are also edible, making a great addition to seasonal salads.
Supplied as an extra large bulb ready to plant in to containers or the garden.
