Sempervivum arachnoideum - Cobweb Houseleek

Product ref: P28704

Availability: In stock

Sempervivum arachnoideum, commonly known as Cobweb Houseleek, is a fascinating alpine succulent loved for its distinctive rosettes of fresh green foliage intricately covered with fine white, spiderweb-like threads. These unique cobweb markings create a geometric effect, making each rosette appear delicately woven with silk. Spreading steadily to form dense mats of offsets, this hardy evergreen succulent provides year-round interest in rockeries, gravel gardens, alpine troughs and containers. During summer, mature plants may produce clusters of attractive pink flowers held above the foliage on short stems.

Thriving in full sun and sharply drained soil, Cobweb Houseleek is exceptionally drought-tolerant and requires very little maintenance once established. Water sparingly, particularly in containers, and avoid overly wet conditions during winter. Pair with sedums or saxifraga for a striking alpine display rich in texture and contrast. An unusual and highly collectable succulent that brings architectural beauty and effortless charm to even the driest corners of the garden.

Supplied in approx. 1.5 litre containers.
