Abelia grandiflora Radiance

Abelia × grandiflora ‘Radiance’ is a compact, elegant shrub prized for its softly variegated foliage that often takes on warm pink tones in cooler weather. From early summer through autumn, it produces delicate, trumpet-shaped white flowers, lightly flushed with pink, which are held above the foliage and add a refined, airy quality to borders and containers.

This semi-evergreen plant thrives in full sun in moist, but well-drained soil and is an excellent choice for low hedging or patio planting. ‘Radiance’ combines beautifully with plants such as Hypericum x hidcoteense 'Hidcote', Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' and Narcissus Thalia. To maintain the plant, lightly prune after flowering or in early spring to keep a neat shape and encourage fresh, vigorous growth.
