Small Gardens
Selecting the right plants for a small garden doesn't need to be a worry or concern as we have a carefully curated selection of plants that will thrive in a smaller space. There are lots of tricks and tips to make the most of a small garden so be bold and adventurous when you look to buy new plants. A few of our favourite ideas for a small garden are:
- -Pick a garden style and select plants that suit it
- -Add height to the garden - use climbers such as Clematis on trellis and structures to add height
- -Add a feature amongst your planting to add interest - try a container with an Acer for impact
- -Add the same plant in multiple positions to link the whole space together
If your small garden has shade areas or is north-facing try planting some Hostas, ferns and shrubs such as Skimmias, Azealeas and Fatsias that thrive in these conditions. Small gardens don't need to be a compromise, be bold and creative. All of these plants are great for small urban gardens, terrace house gardens and balconies which can be difficult to find suitable plants for. Try growing these plants in containers and crete your own wonderful combinations.
We have a great selection of perennial plants and shrubs that can be accomodated in the smallest of gardens, let you imagination run free.
