"Shishigashira" is an excellent maple with beautiful, light-green leaves and an upright habit. The tree has a very distinctive appearance due to the deeply lobed leaves that grow in tufts along the branches. Acer palmatum 'Shishigashira' takes on fabulous shades of fiery orange in autumn.

Keep this plant in a sunny, sheltered spot. It will also grow in partial shade. It is a versatile plant and will grow in any soil type as long as it is well-drained and kept moist.
