Achillea millefolium 'Cassis'

A herbaceous perennial, heralded for its deep wine-red flower heads, Achillea millefolium 'Cassis' is composed of countless tiny blooms held above grey-green foliage. Flowering from early to late summer, the rich, velvety tones soften as blooms mature, bringing long-lasting colour to borders and attracting pollinators.

Thriving in a sunny position with well-drained soil, this hardy yarrow is an excellent choice for prairie-style planting, wildlife gardens, and mixed perennial borders, where its upright habit provides structure and rhythm. It pairs beautifully with Tradescantia 'Brainstorm', Lychnis flos-cuculi Nana, and Camassia leichtlinii 'Caerulea'. Low maintenance and drought-tolerant once established, Achillea ‘Cassis’ benefits from deadheading to prolong flowering and can be cut back in autumn or early spring to encourage fresh, vigorous growth.
