Plant in a sunny, sheltered position in well-drained soil. Water regularly during the first growing season and during prolonged dry spells, especially in containers. Feed in spring and summer to encourage abundant flowering, remove spent blooms after flowering, and protect container-grown plants from severe winter frosts.

Despite being commonly called the Lily of the Nile or African Lily, Agapanthus is not a true lily. The name Agapanthus comes from the Greek words meaning "flower of love". 'Crystal Blue' is prized for its elegant rounded flower heads made up of dozens of pale blue trumpet-shaped blooms, each delicately striped for extra detail.
