Ajuga Petite Parakeet - Feathered Friends

Ajuga Feathered Friends ‘Petite Parakeet’ has gorgeous, vibrant leaves that last for the whole year. It forms a thick carpet of rosettes which makes it perfect for ground cover; it is especially useful as it will grow happily in shady positions where grass may not have sufficient light. This quality makes it ideal for growing under trees. In Spring new foliage appears in stunning shades of gold and as the season continues they gradually develop into deep reds and greens, remaining thoughtout winter. Along with the golden foliage, this perennial will treat you to beautiful lavender coloured flower spikes in late spring and summer.

Grow this plant in any moist, well-drained soil. Full sun can cause scorching, so it is best grown in full or partial shade.
