Alcea rosea "Chaters Double Violet"
Availability: Out of stock
Alcea rosea 'Chater's Double Violet' is a gorgeous hollyhock cultivar with rich, double flowers that have a deep violet tint. These flowers, which resemble vintage pompom dahlias or peonies, are tightly packed with frilly petals and look stunning when perched on tall, sturdy stalks that can grow to a height of two metres or more.
'Chater's Double Violet,' which blooms from mid- to late-summer, is a great way to give structure and colour to the back of borders, along fences, or as a stunning feature in cottage gardens. It also makes an eye-catching vertical addition to the landscape.
This type needs well-drained, nutritious soil and grows best in full sun. Although they usually need little maintenance, hollyhocks benefit from routine irrigation during dry seasons.
Supplied in approx. 1 litre containers.
