Enjoy the classic taste of traditional British cooking apples with Bramley’s 20, a compact variety of the beloved Bramley’s Seedling. Specially bred for smaller gardens, this tree delivers the same large, tart green apples perfect for pies, crumbles, and sauces, but on a more manageable size tree. It produces heavy crops and boasts beautiful spring blossom, making it both productive and ornamental. Bramley’s 20 is a partial tip bearer and requires a compatible pollination partner from Group 3 or nearby for reliable fruiting. Water regularly in dry spells and prune in winter to maintain shape and encourage strong yields. Pair with pollinators like Discovery or Cox’s Orange Pippin for a fruitful and flavourful garden orchard.
Supplied as strong bare root trees grafted on MM106 rootstock, this produces a tree of moderate vigour suitable for most situations where fruit is of a nice pickable height. Trees are easily maintained at a manageable size and never reach more than around 12ft tall.
