Aquilegia Christa Barlow
Availability: In stock
Known as Christa Barlow Columbine, Aquilegia 'Christa Barlow' is an eye-catching perennial with unusual, double-spurred flowers that have a rich purple colour. Its exquisite blossoms, which attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, are a focal point in any garden and bloom from late spring to early summer. With a moderate height of up to 90 cm, the plant is a great option for woodland garden settings or medium borders. 'Christa Barlow' is best in partial shade but may also withstand full sun; it needs wet, well-drained soil. With only occasional deadheading to encourage more flowering and a light mulch to conserve soil moisture and regulate temperature, this cultivar requires very little care.
