Aubergines are rewarding vegetable plants that produce attractive, flavourful fruits throughout summer, making them ideal for greenhouse growing and productive kitchen gardens. Aubergine 'Pinstripe' is an amazing heirloom variety producing smooth, rounded fruits with glossy purple skin with beautiful white streaks. Harvest begins in mid to late summer and continues into early autumn, with fruits typically weighing around 80g. Perfect for slicing, roasting or grilling, this elegant variety combines ornamental appeal with excellent culinary quality. Ideal for greenhouses, raised beds or vegetable patches, it suits cottage and contemporary garden designs alike.

Thriving in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil and a warm, sunny, sheltered position, 'Pinstripe' performs best with consistent warmth throughout the growing season. Plant deeply after all risk of frost has passed, spacing plants well to encourage airflow. Keep plants well-watered during dry spells and feed regularly with a high-potash fertiliser once flowers appear. Remove any yellowing foliage and pick fruits regularly to encourage continued production. Harvest when the fruits are glossy, richly coloured and firm to the touch before the skin begins to dull.

Supplied in approx. 9cm pots.
