Begonia 'Illumination Scarlet' is a bold and dramatic choice for summer containers, producing a cascade of deep scarlet-red, double blooms that trail elegantly from baskets, window boxes, and tall pots. Flowering non-stop from early summer until the first frosts, its rich colouring and lush green foliage make a striking combination, perfect for creating depth and impact in shaded or partially shaded garden spaces.

Plant in a sheltered spot with partial to full shade in moist, well-drained compost. Keep soil consistently moist and feed every two weeks with a high-potash fertiliser to support continuous flowering. This variety needs little maintenance, and pairs beautifully with contrasting plants such as golden coleus or trailing white bacopa for a bold, eye-catching display.
