Bellis Daisy Flowered Speedstar Rose - in Bud & Bloom

Beautiful, delicate daisy like pom-pom flowers that rise from the plants crown in great numbers throughout the winter and spring. These blooms are larger much larger than most Bellis and have semi-double petals that are a bright rose-pink with a yellow eye. The leaves are slightly downy and form from a central crown with the whole plant reaching up to fifteen centimetres height and width.

Bellis is happy to grow in both partial shade and full sunshine and is fully hardy it is tolerant of all soil types but will enjoy a good loamy soil the most so add organic matter before planting. If planting in a container use a decent potting compost. Regular removing of spent flowers will encourage further profuse flowering. Bellis is s superb plant for a container or hanging basket.

Underplant with bulbs for a spectacular spring display. Planted along the front of an herbaceous or shrub border is also a very effective way to display these plants.
