Bignonia capreolata Atrosanguinea - Crossvine - circa 5-6ft

Bignonia capreolata 'Atrosanguinea', also known as a crossvine, is a stunning climbing plant with with dusty red flowers. Its beautiful, dark green leaves turn a reddish-purple in the autumn and will eventually drop in colder temperatures. ‘Atrosanguinea’ is a low maintenance and vigorous, woody vine which is prolific with its red trumpet-like flowers. This climber is a great addition to give summer and autumn colour to your garden growing perfectly along any walls or fences with the aid of a trellis.  

It grows best in full sun but can tolerate partial shade and prefers moist but well-drained soil. When established it can tolerate drought or dry soil and adapts well to coastal conditions.
