Blueberry 'Bluegold'
Availability: In stock
Blueberry 'Bluegold' is a fantastic mid-season cultivar that is well-known for producing large quantities of mouthwateringly sweet, firm blueberries. The medium to large-sized berries ripen to a stunning blue colour, making them ideal for baking, preserving, and fresh consumption. With its lovely, compact growth habit, white spring flowers, and eye-catching autumn foliage in shades of yellow and orange, this deciduous shrub also adds ornamental value.
Â
Plant in full sun to partial shade in acidic, well-drained soil. The ideal pH range for blueberries is between 4.5 and 5.5. In particular during dry spells, water the soil frequently to maintain a constant moisture content. Cover the base with mulch to keep moisture in and keep weeds at bay. Apply a late-spring and early-spring plant fertiliser that is friendly to acidic soil.
