English Marigold - Calendula officinalis 'Art Shades Mixed'
Availability: Out of stock
Calendula officinalis 'Art Shades Mixed' is a cheerful blend of large frilled blooms in glowing shades of orange, gold and lemon-yellow, flowering continuously from late spring until autumn. The densely petalled flowers create a bright, long-lasting display in borders, cottage gardens and containers while attracting pollinators throughout the season. Edible petals can be used as a colourful garnish for salads and desserts.Â
This easy-care variety flowers continuously with very little maintenance. Plant in full sun or partial shade in well-drained soil for the best display. Regular deadheading will encourage a longer flowering season and keep plants looking tidy, although allowing some blooms to set seed may result in natural self-seeding the following year. Water during prolonged dry spells, particularly when grown in containers, and avoid overly wet or poorly drained soils. A light feed during the growing season can help promote even more blooms. Pair with nigella and eschscholzia for a vibrant cottage garden combination full of colour and pollinator appeal.
Supplied in approx 1 litre containers.
