Caltha palustris 'Multiplex' - Double Flowering Marsh Marigold

The native Marsh Marigold is an absolute must for any pond or boggy garden feature and is the perfect companion to the wildlife that lives in such places. Caltha palustris 'Multiplex'  is an herbaceous perennial whose rhizomatous underground stems are happy to sit in poorly drained boggy loam soil, making it perfect for a pond edge.

Try to avoid planting Caltha in north facing aspects as the it may suffer in very cold winds. The foliage can be cut back after flowering to encourage new fresh growth.
