Centaurea montana Amethyst Dream

The gorgeous perennial Centaurea 'Amethyst Dream' is well-known for its vibrant, amethyst-purple flowers, which stand out boldly in any garden. Early to midsummer sees the blossoms appear atop thistle-like, silvery-green foliage, attracting bees and butterflies with their bright colour and nectar. This plant is perfect for borders, wildflower gardens, and mixed beds because of its somewhat compact growth habit, which allows it to reach a height of 40–50 cm and a spread of 30–40 cm.

For optimal flowering, plant 'Amethyst Dream' in well-drained soil in full sun. Once planted, it requires little care and can withstand droughts. Combine it with white daisies or golden yarrow for a dramatic contrast, or with other plants that attract pollinators to create a vibrant, nurturing environment for the area's fauna.
