Cercis canadencis Eternal Flame - Extra Large 180-220cm Specimen Tree

Cercis Eternal Flame is a recently introduced variety of American Redbud, regarded by many as the finest available, it's easy to see why it won Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Year on its debut thanks to the stunning foliage.

The glorious heart shaped leaves emerge flame red then mature to burnt orange and bright yellow. As the season progresses, the foliage of Cercis canadensis Eternal Flame is often at different stages of the transition, thus displaying the full range of fiery colours. Once the tree has established, it will also treat you to small, dark pink flowers in springtime.

If you're after a dramatic small tree, with stand out beautiful foliage with the bonus of profuse blooming in the form of the gorgeous pink flowers that appear before any leaves at the end of Winter, then this is it!

In autumn leaves turn striking shades of orange, red, yellow and purple. The autumn sun makes some leaves appear to be translucent and others reflect the light. Try and plant in a position where the sun can back light the foliage to achieve the full effect.

This Cercis will form a bushy, rounded form with the branches smothered in tiny, deep pink flowers ahead of the foliage each spring. Cercis canadensis 'Eternal Flame' is also very easy to grow and maintain.
