Cercis 'Forest Pansy' is a popular and dramatic small tree grown for its beautiful foliage and, much as the profuse blooming - gorgeous pink flowers appear before any leaves at the end of Winter. Then, the glorious heart-shaped leaves emerge a glossy, vibrant ruby red and darken to a rich purple-plum shade for the summer. In autumn, they turn striking shades of orange, red, yellow, and purple. The autumn sun makes some leaves appear translucent while others reflect the light.

Try and plant in a position where the sun can shine behind the foliage to achieve the full effect. This Cercis will form a bushy, rounded form with the branches smothered in tiny, deep pink flowers ahead of the foliage each spring. Cercis canadensis 'Forest Pansy' has deservedly won the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and it is very easy to grow and maintain.

Supplied in approx. 4-5 litre containers.

Great service, lovely small tree

Cannot fault the quick turnaround and this beautiful tree that arrived carefully packaged and is very reasonably priced and a good size. Purchased one year ago in its dormant state, I was disheartened that it did not flower in its first winter. However the foliage eventually sprouted in the spring and the tree has been a joy to observe flourishing and especially in its autumn splendour, leaves filtering the sunlight. I hope to be rewarded with beautiful blossom on the bare stems this winter.

Expectation exceeded

Website is easy to use and there are some incredible deals to be had. Delivery was a bit slow but I ordered just before a long holiday weekend and I was told that there would be a delay. Packaged securely and though the plant was a bit scrunched up from its journey it has recovered, even the delicate new end growth was all intact. It’s a very impressive plant and much taller than I was expecting. Well worth the cost which was very reasonable in the first place. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Absolutely stunning!

My Cercis 'Forest Pansy' was packaged well and delivered on time (I was kept informed throughout the process, from ordering to delivery). The plant looked healthy & was potted on straight away. Almost a year later & it has grown on well with stunning colours which literally takes your breathe away.
