Chilli Pepper Plant 'Carolina Reaper Red'

Product ref: VEG26355

Availability: In stock

The world’s hottest chilli with record-breaking heat, Capsicum chinense ‘Carolina Reaper Red’, originates from the USA, where it was bred to push the limits of chilli heat. Its gnarled, tail-tipped fruits ripen from green to an intense, glossy red, delivering an extraordinary heat level easily exceeding 1,000,000 Scoville units. Beneath the intense burn lies a surprisingly fruity, slightly sweet flavour, making it as complex as it is powerful.

Grow in a warm, sunny, sheltered position in fertile, well-drained soil, maintaining consistent moisture and feeding regularly with a high-potash fertiliser once flowering begins to maximise fruit production. Pinch out growing tips early to encourage a bushier, more productive plant, and lightly trim where needed to improve airflow and support healthy growth. An exceptional variety for extreme chilli enthusiasts looking to create record-breaking sauces or take on the ultimate heat challenge.

Supplied in appox. 9 cm pots.
