The classic chilli with a perfectly balanced kick, Capsicum annuum 'Jalapeno M', is a well-loved variety, prized for its reliable performance and rich flavour. Growing to around 6-10cm in length, starting deep green and maturing to bright red from mid-summer onwards. With a moderate heat, they perform best when used in salsas or grilled to add smoky depth to dishes.
Grow in well-drained, fertile soil in a warm, sunshine-filled position to receive the best yields. Water consistently throughout the growing season and feed regularly to encourage continuous fruiting, removing any damaged growth as needed. A great choice, offering a long harvesting window, keeping the kitchen well-supplied.
