A golden-podded variety with zesty heat, Capsicum baccatum 'Lemon Drop' is distinctive and highly productive, celebrated for its unique flavour and colour. The slender fruits grow to around 5-7cm in length, starting green and maturing to a bright lemon yellow in late summer. With a rating of around 30000-50000 Scoville units, they offer a fresh heat that works amazingly in salsas, sauces and adds a zing to a wide range of dishes.

To ensure strong growth and fruiting, plant in well-drained, fertile soil in a position with plenty of sun. Water regularly and feed throughout the growing season to maintain vigour, with light pruning to support airflow and plant shape. A fantastic option for home growers, particularly valued for its flavour profile, which stands out from traditional chilli varieties.
