Product ref: C28712

Availability: In stock

Clematis ‘Mrs Cholmondeley’ is a classic large-flowered clematis celebrated for its impressive display of soft lavender-blue blooms with delicate creamy stamens. Flowering abundantly in late spring and early summer, with a second flush often appearing in late summer, this elegant climber brings months of colour and sophistication to trellises, pergolas, fences, and walls. Its large, star-shaped flowers stand out beautifully against rich green foliage, making it a favourite for cottage gardens and traditional planting schemes.

Growing to approximately 2.5–4 metres in height and 1–1.5 metres in spread, this vigorous deciduous climber quickly creates a stunning vertical feature. As a Group 2 clematis, it benefits from light pruning in late winter or early spring, removing weak or damaged stems and cutting back to strong buds to encourage flowering. Water regularly during dry spells, particularly while establishing, and feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring. Plant in full sun or partial shade with moist, well-drained soil and keep the roots cool and shaded.

Supplied in approx. 2 litre containers.
