Crystal Fountain is an amazing Clematis variety, celebrated for its large, layered flowers that appear almost sculptural in form. Each bloom opens with broad outer petals surrounding a fountain-like centre of finely textured inner petals. The softly luminous colouring gives the plant a refined presence, allowing it to stand out beautifully when trained over obelisks, trellis panels or through supportive shrubs.

This clematis thrives in a bright position with shelter from harsh midday sun, while its roots benefit from cool, shaded conditions in moist but well-drained, fertile soil. For shrubs, Hydrangea paniculata ‘Limelight’ adds structure and foliage interest, while at ground level, Alchemilla mollis softens the base and creates a cohesive, layered planting scheme with long-lasting appeal.
