Cornus kousa Milky Way - Chinese Dogwood - Large
Availability: In stock
This broadly conical Chinese dogwood is renowned for its dark green leaves, which turn crimson-purple in autumn. The stems create a showy, star-like display in early summer, lasting for several weeks and providing a soft, elegant contrast to the deep green foliage. As the flowers fade, ornamental strawberry-like red fruits may develop, adding interest late summer.
Cornus kousa varieties such as this are prized for their multi-season beauty and elegant, architectural shape. Its tiered, horizontal branching and stunning autumn foliage make it a standout specimen tree, perfect for mixed borders, woodland gardens, or as a lawn feature.
An excellent specimen tree for a small garden or woodland border, the leaf colour will be at its best when planted in fertile, well-drained, neutral to acid soil.
Large strong specimens at approx 90-12cms tall in approx 10 litre containers.
