Crabapple Tree - Malus Director Moerland

Product ref: FT27755

Availability: In stock

Malus 'Director Moerland' is a beautiful ornamental crab apple with deep purple leaves that maintains its rich tone throughout the summer, adding strong colour and wildlife value to your garden. Masses of pinkish-red blossoms are produced in the spring, and in the autumn, it bears small, deep red fruits that attract birds and prolong the season of interest. It is perfect for feature planting or smaller gardens due to its compact, rounded form.

Thrives in soil that is moist and well-drained, in addition to full sunlight. It is resilient and requires little upkeep, making it ideal for mixed borders or as a stand-alone specimen. For a complex, multi-layered garden show, underplant with Euphorbia, Tulips, or Ajuga reptans to echo and contrast its rich tones.

Supplied in approx. 7-10 litre containers.
