Paul's Scarlet is a variation of a traditional British native, with glorious flowers when in full bloom. This ornamental hawthorn tree adored for its double-pink blossom. In late spring, the branches are smothered with rosette-like flowers, creating a breathtaking display against its glossy green foliage. As the year progresses, the canopy reveals golden autumn tints. This is followed by the characteristic berries, much loved by birds.

Perfect for cottage gardens, wildlife havens, or as a specimen tree in gardens and mixed borders, ‘Paul’s Scarlet’ thrives in full sun to partial shade and tolerates most well-drained soils. Exceptionally hardy and low-maintenance, it needs little more than the removal of dead or crossing branches in winter.
