Dahlia ‘Icoon’ is a decorative dahlia that produces striking, fully double blooms in glowing shades of golden yellow flushed with warm red and orange tones. Flowering from midsummer until the first frosts, its bold colouring makes it a standout feature in mixed borders, cottage gardens, and cutting gardens, where the long stems and impressive blooms also make excellent additions to floral arrangements.
Plant tubers in groups of 3–5 to create a full and natural display, spacing them approximately 45–60cm apart and planting around 10–15cm deep in fertile, well-drained soil. Choose a sunny, sheltered position to encourage vigorous growth and abundant flowering. Dahlia ‘Icoon’ pairs beautifully with other summer-flowering bulbs such as gladiolus, lilies, and alliums, while companions like begonia tubers and ornamental grasses help create a layered planting scheme that provides texture, height, and long-lasting seasonal colour.
