Daphne gemmata Royal Crown - Rare Yellow Flowered Chinese Daphne

A rare and hard-to-come-by Daphne variety, Daphne gemmata forms a compact deciduous shrub of beautiful green leaves and covers itself in bright, cheery yellow flowers. Originating in China, it is usually found growing at the edge of forests. Pretty clusters of bright yellow flowers appear over a bushy habit of lustrous green foliage from late spring to summer. Attractive to bees and beneficial insects, the blooms are often followed by red berries at the latter end of the season.
