Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' is a beautiful and compact evergreen shrub. Red-margined, leathery, dark-green leaves are evergreen and provide all-year-round interest. Striking, dark-red buds are produced in Autumn, lasting right through the Winter and are as much a feature of this Skimmia as the flowers are. Light pink, small, fragrant blooms open in Spring and last for numerous weeks.

A truly spectacular plant, it comes as no surprise that it has been given the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the RHS, indicating that it's favoured as one of the very best evergreen shrubs available.
