Deutzia × magnifica

Product ref: S28722

Availability: In stock

Deutzia × magnifica is a spectacular deciduous shrub that delivers an unforgettable late-spring display, smothering its arching branches with cascades of pure white, double-star-shaped flowers. This vigorous and reliable variety creates a fountain of elegant blooms from late spring to summer, attracting pollinators while adding brightness and structure to borders. Its fresh green foliage provides an attractive backdrop throughout the growing season before turning subtle shades in autumn.

Reaching around 2–3m in height and spread, Deutzia × magnifica is ideal as a specimen shrub, flowering hedge or mixed border feature. The abundant white blooms pair beautifully with philadelphus, weigela and spiraea for a classic cottage garden display. Plant in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade for the best flowering performance. Easy to grow and fully hardy, prune immediately after flowering by removing some older stems to encourage vigorous new growth and abundant blooms the following year.

Supplied in approx. 2 litre containers.
