Eryngium planum 'Blue Hobbit' - Blue Sea Holly

Product ref: P28737

Availability: Out of stock

Eryngium planum ‘Blue Hobbit’ is a compact perennial that brings unique colour and architectural interest to the garden. This dwarf Sea Holly produces masses of steel-blue flower heads surrounded by spiky, star-like blue bracts from mid-summer into early autumn. Held on sturdy stems above attractive grey-green foliage, the blooms create a shimmering display that is highly attractive to butterflies and other pollinators.

Perfect for gravel gardens, sunny borders and wildlife-friendly planting schemes, this compact variety is also ideal for containers and smaller spaces. Plant in full sun and well-drained soil, where it will thrive with minimal attention once established. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong the display or leave seed heads in place for winter interest and dried arrangements. Drought tolerant and exceptionally easy to grow, Blue Hobbit adds lasting texture, colour and contemporary style to any garden setting.

Supplied in approx. 2 litre containers.
