Eucalyptus parvifolia - Small Leaved Gum

Product ref: S22920

Availability: Out of stock

This Eucalyptus parvula to give it the correct botanical name is sought after by florists and gardeners alike for its decorative evergreen foliage.

It originate in New South Wales, Australia in its natural state which makes it extremely tough and tolerant - it will grow in difficult poor soil conditions, thrive in baking hot sun, and handle cold winter temperatures too - along with Euculyptus gunnii, the cider hum, this is one of the very hardiest of all Eucalyptus.

Ideal for the smaller garden, which cannot accommodate a larger Eucalyptus, this is an interesting variety with neat little leaves and a more compact habit than most of the other Eucalyptus species. Initially it will form a tall shrub, prune it and it will matain this stature, leave it alone and it will form a small elegant tree with a semi-weeping habit. If left further with no trimming, it will ultimately form a larger specimen with a broad spreading crown. As an added bonus it also then develops attractive peeling bark.

Supplied in approx. 2-3 litre containers.
