Fruiting Kumquat Tree - Citrus Fortunella Margarita
Availability: In stock
Citrus Fortunella margarita, commonly known as the Kumquat Tree, is the perfect choice for gardeners looking for something different from more common garden fruit trees. This compact citrus variety produces small, oval orange Kumquat fruits that can be eaten whole, skin and all, tasting both sweet and a little tangy. The glossy evergreen leaves and fragrant white blossoms make it a visual standout for patios or as a feature in a stylish planter.
Thrives in full sun with well-drained soil. Water regularly and feed with a citrus fertiliser during the growing season. Move under cover in winter or protect from frost. Ideal for growing in containers, it pairs beautifully with herbs like thyme or rosemary for a Mediterranean-style edible garden.
Supplied as pictured in an approx. 5 litre containers, around 60cm tall.
