Asclepia 'Green Parrot Mixture' - Pack of TEN

A stunning perennial that brings something different to a herbaceous border with its fragrant flowers and unusual looking seed pods from which it gets its name.

The flowers appear from June until September and are a pinky lilac in colour but beautifully fragrant and irresistible to the Bees and Butterflies, following this amazing looking soft spiny seed pods form and these really do look like green parrots and make an interesting addition to the cut flower vase.

The Asclepia will grow happily in a sunny border in a fertile spoil that drains well, it is reasonably drought tolerant so it’s good for sandy soils and is at its best if planted in a small grouping or drift.
