One of the most eye-catching varieties of New Zealand Sedge Grasses, Carex Comans Frosted Curls is prized for its unusual foliage. Effective and striking, this evergreen perennial grass works best in borders, containers or as edging.
The shimmering, silvery-green leaves offer multiple seasons of interest. Slightly curling towards the tip, the narrow, blade-like foliage starts as pale green in the spring, turning to sandy shades in the autumn, and bronze in the winter.
Easy to grow, Carex Comans Frosted Curls thrives in well-drained, fertile soil and full sun to partial shade. Forming a tufted mound as it matures, this dwarf cultivar can grow to be up to 50 cm high and across. With its curling leaves, this compact ornamental grass can be a great choice for covering up bare patches in your garden or for under planting larger shrubs or trees.
