Amaryllis - Hippeastrum Bulb

My 3rd purchase of amaryllis over 4 months. Couldn’t resist the late season price of £1 each so bought as many as allowed, eight bulbs. Have already had wonderful displays for 6 weeks and 5 bulbs are still flowering or to flower.
Do not be put off by some of the bulbs having already sprouted and delivered with bent stems. They soon straighten up if you turn away from daylight. I only had to remove 1 cracked stem and that encouraged the 2nd to sprout. I grow in stones with an inch of water just touching the end of the roots.
My mix contained 5 white, some with the biggest flowers I have seen, and a red, a yellow and a peach/white.

Seven out of the eight bulbs showed signs of life, one was even in bud! The biggest bulb of all took another two weeks to produce a tiny bit of green - I keep hoping that it will develop as nicely as the other seven did - there appeared another two buds!

Easy easy and the bulbs were incredible size.I ordered more after the first order.

Arrived on time, well packed and look in excellent condition.
Can't wait to see them flower later this summer and will plant not in a winter frosty patch to anticipate they will perform outdoors year after year.

I got 5 HUGE bulbs a week ago, I planted them in the garden, and now they are 15 cm tall. I hope all will be different colour, these are in the centre of my garden. Plants look healthy and happy.

These were in the sale for £1 each - I bought 5 and was amazed to receive such healthy large bulbs - 2 already growing strongly. I cant wait for them to flower.

The bulb grew well into multi flower heads.
