Astrantia major Ruby Wedding

Stunning ruby-red flowers with a suggestion of white at the base of each petal held on wiry, branched stems above lobed, mid-green leaves. This old cottage garden favourite has been enjoying a resurgence of interest in recent years. Best in a sunny, yet moist border it works equally well in contemporary and cottage style plantings. Astrantias have been cultivated in Britain since the 16th century and have numerous common names, such as melancholy gentleman, Hattie's pincushion and the more well known masterwort. Supplied as large strong flowering sized plants in approx 3 Litre containers.
