Ceratostigma griffithii - Hardy Cobalt-Blue Plumbago

Product ref: S2B007

Availability: Out of stock

This deciduous spreading shrub brings a welcome splash of colour to the garden in late summer and early autumn just as many other flowers have gone over.

Masses of vivid cobalt-blue flowers appear from August to October, followed by a show of Autumn foliage, where the leaves turn rich scarlet-russet-red.

It is best planted nearer the front of a sheltered, sunny border in soil that does not get too dry.

Hardy Plumbago Plants really are fantastic deciduous shrubs, bringing a welcome splash of colour to the garden in late summer and autumn just as many other flowers have gone over.

We highly recommend the compact spreading bushes that are covered in masses of vivid cobalt-blue flowers from August, right up to Christmas in mild areas, for something different and the bluest of blue colouration - combined with the additional benefit of rich scarlet to russet-red Autumn foliage, these are Ideal nearer the front of a border with a bright aspect, or in seasonal planters.

Supplied in approx. 2 litre containers, good bushy plants, full of buds and flowers in season.
